In defence of the university: Self-reflexivity, radical doubt and the writing of the becoming

Abstract

The great frontier between teaching and creating finds its founding matrix in an activity that has been our foundation since we started being schooled in childhood. This essay addresses the way reading and writing are established as related activities, but which have in the former a dimension of precedence and command over the latter.
